Why did you begin martial arts training?
I needed a year round hobby, something that wouldn't be dependent on the weather. Plus my brother is a jiu jitsu black belt, and has been trying to get me to do it for years. I finally took his advice.
Did you have any previous martial arts training before joining CNC?
No.
What do you like the most about ninjutsu?
I like the strategy behind the fighting. There are a lot of things going on when you watch a professional grappling match that most people don't really understand. Being on your back and being able to take the offensive at the same time seems counterintuitive, but that's part of what Ninjutsu is all about.
What has been the greatest benefit from your training?
I do Ninjutsu mostly because I enjoy it, and I like the challenge of learning new things. It's totally different from anything I've done before. I've also met some cool people in the process.
What has been your biggest challenge?
There are so many techniques to learn that sometimes it seems overwhelming, especially when you see someone who has been training for years do those techniques with ease.
What would you say to someone who is considering ninjutsu training?
Give it a try if you think you'll enjoy it. |
